About

The Digital Collaboration team at Ameriprise has embarked on multi-year initiative to offer online meeting scheduling capabilities to clients. The Digital Collaboration team has partnered with other teams within the firm to create a scheduling experience that provides value to advisor and their clients and prospects – and the business as a whole.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

The advisor-client relationship is a cornerstone of Ameriprise’s business. Effectively scheduling meetings is nuanced and requires a level of control. Advisors and clients currently use a high-touch, manual process to schedule meetings.

Objectives

  • Demonstrate the desirability and viability of online meeting scheduling

  • Provide proof-of-concept that demonstrates vision to help obtain funding

  • Collaborate with cross-commit teams to define and prioritize scope of features and functionality throughout a multi-phase process

  • Create an intuitive and easy-to-use scheduling tool that promotes adoption among advisors and their clients and prospects

  • Gather insights and validate that online meeting scheduling resonates with advisors and clients using various user research methodologies
